Canada offers a variety of routes through which you can move to the country! I have tried to mention a brief summary for each of the programs that you can use to immigrate to Canada.
Express Entry Program
The express entry program is for people who are young skilled workers!
If you have years of work experience, have completed post-secondary education, and can speak English and/or French fluently you might be eligible to be invited to settle permanently in Canada.
Provincial Nominee Program
If you are looking to move to a certain province and are not eligible for Express Entry, you can look into moving to Canada through the Provincial Nomination. Note that it’s going to cost you more than the Express Entry program, there might be certain additional provincial requirements that you need to fulfill and your intent needs to be to live and work in the province that you applied for.
Quebec-skilled workers program
The Quebec skilled worker is oriented more towards attracting French-speaking people to Quebec. You might still be eligible even if you don’t speak French, however, the points scored would be lower.
Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program
If you have graduated from the Eastern Provinces of Canada – New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia or Newfoundland and Labrador then you can apply to work and live in Canada through this program.
Startup Visa Program
If you are loaded with cash and have entrepreneurial spirit then you can immigrate to Canada by starting a business and creating jobs.
Caregivers Program
This program is targeted towards those who want to work as a home child care provider, home support worker, live-in caregiver, childcare, caring people with medical need. You are eligible under this program if you have a job offer or caregiver experience in Canada.
Self Employed Persons Program
You can immigrate as a self-employed person if you can make significant contributions to cultural or athletic life in Canada. You will need to have relevant experience at a world-class level.
Agri-Food Pilot Program
If you are willing to work in the Canadian agriculture and food industry then you can apply under this program. Eligible occupations include – Butcher, Supervisor, Food Processing Laborer, Farmworkers, and Livestock workers.
Sponsored by a Family Member
If you have parents/siblings/spouse/partners who are already in Canada, you can request them to be the sponsor for your immigration application. It’s going to make your process a lot easier.
Refugee Program
If you are being persecuted in your home country or your life is in danger, you might be eligible to apply for asylum in Canada. Applying for asylum is not a shortcut to the Canadian immigration process; your application will be reviewed by the border agency, and you can be removed from Canada if your refugee claim is illegitimate.
There might be multiple ways for you to immigrate to Canada but you will need to see which one works best for you!
Also note that this list is not comprehensive and is subject to change.
