Lemonade That Sucked At Wetzel’s Pretzels Panama City Airport!

Decided to try “Fresh Lemonade” from a food stall called Wetzel’s Pretzels at the Panama City Airport. Bad Idea!

Since I had paid about US $3.50 for this drink, I was expecting quality stuff but no this drink was bit too sour. I should have asked the employees there if they had ever tried drinking it cause it really had a very odd taste.

Bad Lemonade

If they can’t get something simple like Lemonade correct, what do you expect their other food items tasted like.

Do not try their lemonade, it sucks. Probably one of the worst drinks that I have tried this year.

Chicken Tenders At Flying Dogs Turned Out To Be Okay!

With most of the restaurants closed at the Tocumen Airport after 9 pm, my only option was to try out Flying Dogs where I went in for their Chicken Tenders!

The Tenders cost about US $7 (I wasn’t aware that Panama was one of the countries where it was quite common to have prices in US dollars) and what you get for those 7 bucks is just 3 chicken tenders! Yes, food at the airport is always overpriced.

But was my meal good enough? I think the tenders are alright enough to be had as a snack. You get ketchup with your tenders however you can ask for hot sauce which I found to be much better with the tenders.

Chicken Tenders

If you were to ask me again if I would have the tenders at the place? Most likely not, I just had been in a situation where nothing else was open so had to get them.

Avoid Buying International SIM Cards At Tocumen International Airport Panama

On a stopover at Tocumen Airport in Panama, I noticed that there were a number of SIM Card stalls at the airport which featured roaming in 150 countries! Since, I travel a lot, I always have a global roaming package on my phone and was curious to know how much these SIM cards would cost.

In certain places, you can get really good deals on International Travel SIM Cards however the price that I was quoted shocked me! The price for an International SIM card was going to be US $60 and would provide me limited data with 10-20 days coverage! That is not a great deal in my opinion.

SIM Card Shop

By comparison, I currently pay a little more than US $30 to get global roaming on my phone with 3HK and that covers me for the whole year!

My recommendation for anyone who traveling to Panama would be to avoid getting their SIM card at the airport. The price is very high. Instead buy the SIM Card from the local shops outside the airport which will be a lot more cheaper. You can also look for eSIM options (if your phone supports) that you can buy online and can save you a lot of money.
